We woke to the sounds of seagulls, no rain and the sun was shining. Enjoyed an English breakfast and walked down to the harbor for another walk along the cliffs. The tide was out so the boats looked abandoned in the sand. No wind blowing so we did the cliff walk again .... picturesque coastline of rocks and waves.
We then drove into Looe, which is the next town along the coast but is bigger than Polperro. Headed across to Dartmoor ..... everything was so green, more hedges which gradually changed to stone walls made by the prisoners of Dartmoor Prison. Saw wild Shetland ponies and horses grazing on the Moors, the streams were flowing and long haired sheep grazed in the fields.
We crossed over into Devon and then met a friend of Richard's who he played cricket with 21 years ago at Cullompton .... enjoyed another pub meal with them and then drove to our B&B near Bath. Our Garmin took us across the country via more single car lane-ways but we did find it in the dark. Always a challenge when a B&B is called Friary Wood but it is a great B&B with very friendly hosts and fantastic grounds (see photos) ... tomorrow we are visiting Bath.
